the jimmyCORE foundation honors the son and brother of jim, laura and chelsea. jimmy loved all people but he was especially known for taking extra care of those who were homeless. his family honors his memory by giving back to local nonprofits that work with the homeless. we were the recipient of a $10,000 grant to pay off our truck! and it was an honor to share the stage with four other nonprofits working tirelessly to improve the lives of men, women and children moving through homelessness. we can’t thank the jimmycore foundation enough for their generous gift and for believing in our mission.
“i shall pass this way but once; any good, therefore, that i can do or any kindness
that i can show to any human being or animal, let me do it now.” – jimmy core
we have an opportunity to receive a generous donation in exchange for providing 100 volunteers for the rocktoberfest half marathon on october 19th. volunteers will manage water stops and also serve as course monitors making sure runners don’t make a wrong turn. it’s also a great opportunity for any students (12 and older) who may need community service hours. it’s a quick, fun 5 hour shift and all volunteers will receive a free t-shirt! click the image below to sign up!
we are gearing up for our first annual fundraising event to be held on #givingtuesday (december 3rd) at resident culture brewing. it’s going to be a lot of fun; who doesn’t like some stand up and improv?! if you know of a company (maybe yours!?) who would be interested in being a sponsor of this event, we’d love to chat with them. we have opportunities ranging from $500-$2,500, and have a goal to raise $10,000. tickets will go on sale soon. be sure to stay up to date on our facebook and instagram pages for more info in the coming weeks! (you should probably like and follow us on social media anyway!)

our friends at wbtv have been so good to us! they’ve helped spread awareness of our mission in the community and most recently, came out to see us in action. click on the image below to learn what our shower guests have to say about the impact our mission is having on them and the community. (and look at that smile on robert’s face. he had just received a fresh cut and was excited to jump in the shower to “feel even more human”.)
